C'est une galerie dédiée à l'exposition de sculptures, mais elle ouvre également son espace pour l'exposition de peintures.
Elle a été fondée en 1995 avec ses dirigeantes María Elena Comandari et Rosita Lira, qui possèdent plus de vingt ans d'expérience dans le domaine des arts.
L'objectif fondamental de l'Artespacio est la diffusion des différentes tendances artistiques contemporaines, et en particulier de la sculpture. Pour cette raison, une grande partie des activités de l’Artespacio ont été de former les sculpteurs nationaux (symposiums), ainsi que de montrer d’importants maîtres de la sculpture internationale.
