Kawazu Kaien
Right in front of Kawazu Beach, Kawazu Kaien was opened in 1881 and offers hot-spring baths and Japanese meals around traditional Iriori hearths. The spacious rooms were renovated in 2005 and offer sea views, an LCD TV and free Wi-Fi.
Rooms at Kawazu Kaien Inn have Western-style beds and a seating area with Japanese-style tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Each room is air-conditioned and comes with slippers, green tea, toothbrushes and Yukata robes. There is an en suite toilet, and guests bathe at the hot-spring baths.
The inn is a 5-minute walk from Kawazu Train Station (Izu Kyuko Line) and a 5-minute drive to Kawazu Bagatelle Park. Kawazu Nanadaru Falls is a 20-minute drive. On-site parking is free.
The hot-spring baths are open 24/7, and can be reserved for private use for 40 minutes per group between 19:30 and 22:30. (Please choose a time slot at check-in.) Massages can also be booked.
A set-menu breakfast and dinner are served either at Zendokoro-Kaien Restaurant or around the Japanese-style fireplaces at the “Meiji Room”. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:00-15:00 (closed Wednesdays).
