Non-smoking rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and a flat-screen TV. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on the floor. A personal safe is provided, while toilets and bathing facilities are shared. Yukata robes can be rented.
The property is a 5-minute walk from the Kusatsu Bus Terminal, which connects in 20 minutes with JR Naganohara Kusatsuguchi Train Station. The hot springs at Kusatsu-Yubatake can be visited a 10-minute drive away.
Guests at Mitomo can unwind in the family bath or take a stroll in the garden, while children can entertain themselves with toys at the kids’ room. The pension sells ski passes and offers laundry services. Free parking is on-site.
A Japanese breakfast can be ordered in the morning, while for dinner Pension Mitomo offers Japanese kushi-age barbecue skewers with meats and vegetables. Upon request, in winter Japanese ‘hot pot’ soup featuring meats and vegetables is available.
