One of the possible locations of the first slave market in Europe. In 1444 the first slaves brought from Africa arrived in Lagos, and then began their commercialization. Knowing that the first slave market, brought by the caravels, took place in Rossio da Trindade, at the village door, this slave market takes on special significance for its symbolic character, rooted in popular tradition.
