Das Museum befindet sich im alten Kloster von S. Francisco, das derzeit vom Kavallerieregiment Nr. 3 bewohnt wird, neben dem Stadtgarten.
Das Kavallerieregiment Nr. 3 ist seit drei Jahrhunderten mit der Stadt verbunden.
Um seine Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zu präsentieren, hat es ein kleines Museum eingerichtet, das einen Überblick über die militärischen Aktionen gibt, die es unternommen hat.
